Amos 4:1a-& 8:5-6

“Hear this word, you cows of Bashan, who are on the mountain of Samaria, who oppress the poor, who crush the needy…saying, “When will the new moon be over, that we may sell grain? And the Sabbath, that we may offer wheat for sale, that we may make the ephah small and the shekel great and deal deceitfully with false balances, that we may buy the poor for silver and the needy for a pair of sandals and sell the chaff of the wheat?”

Amos 1:15

“…and their king shall go into exile, he and his princes together,” says the Lord.

2 Kings 2:24

He carried away all Jerusalem and all the officials and all the mighty men of valor, 10,000 captives, and all the craftsmen and the smiths. None remained, except the poorest people of the land.

While an "exile" feels like the end, most of the time it's a new beginning
