Paul finishes out the chapter by teaching us that because of the cross and the resurrection, nothing can separate us from God’s love.
In this message, we continue our study in Romans 8:28-39. We learn the incredible news that there is no possibility of our being separated from God’s love, that we are guaranteed to one day be made like Jesus, and that God is working everything in our lives for good!!!
One of the most powerful promises in the Bible is that God is able to work all things for the good of those who love him. Because of how painful our circumstances can be, it’s also one of the hardest to embrace. But unlike us, God doesn’t make mistakes or promise things he can’t deliver. In the path of obedience, there is no pain God can’t use for gain.
In this message, we continue our study in Romans 8:18-27. We are reminded that suffering is an unavoidable part of life. Yet, those of us in Christ have a hope that is so extraordinary that the totality of our suffering is incomparably small. In this, we can have great joy – even in the midst of suffering.
In this message, we study Romans 8:9-17 together. We discover that to know Jesus Christ is to receive the Holy Spirit, thus making us children of God with a guaranteed resurrection and inheritance. It’s great news!!! Yet, we are warned that we must strive to kill our sin, because the tragedy of death awaits those who live according to the flesh.
In this message, we study Romans 8:1-8 together. We discover the great news that there is absolutely no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus; through Him we have peace with God. Yet, we also learn the counter-intuitive news that one cannot be neutral towards God…we are either at peace or war with Him.
