Since the beginning of recorded history, people have been on the move and throughout scripture we see God use the migration of people groups to make His name known. It remains the same today.

It is reported that in Franklin Country alone, the foreign born population has increased from 3.4% in 1990 to 9.8% in 2013. As we look around our neighborhoods and college campuses, we find this to be true. Many of those moving to our city are from countries where governmental and social opposition to the gospel is so great that their nations have lived for generations with little to no access to the good news of Jesus Christ.

What would it look like if our eyes were fully opened to the beautiful God given opportunity and the biblical obligation that we have to welcome and show the love of Jesus Christ to the international community among us?

33 “When a stranger sojourns with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong. 34 You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God. – Leviticus 19:33-34
