Colby Taylor

Colby Taylor is a people-first leader, having served in many visionary roles across a variety of churches, big and small.

His current role as multi-site pastor of Lifepoint Church in Columbus, Ohio is the culmination of over 15yrs of experience in empowering and uplifting other churches with worship, songwriting, experience, value-building, storytelling, and staffing.

Colby began his professional life working in churches after having graduated from Cedarville University with a degree in Theology. With each role he took on, trust and new responsibilities followed due to Colby's strong work ethic, attention to detail, humble collaborator, and honesty when receiving and delivering helpful feedback.

Prior to his role at Lifepoint Church, Colby served as Irvine Worship Pastor at Mariners Church in Southern California. For 7 years, Colby led the congregation of over 10,000 people through crafting and leading weekend worship experiences in partnership with senior leadership. Additionally, Colby made significant contributions to Mariners Worship, which included songwriting with Matt Redman, Phil Wickham, and many others.

Through the COVID-19 Pandemic, Colby also successfully brought on multiple worship leaders on staff to strategize Mariners’ growth efforts as they launched an unprecedented 6 new multi-site church plants in the same year to further bring the Gospel to Orange County and San Diego County.

Colby is also a two-time Ironman Triathlon finisher. He loves Korean bbq, street tacos, soup on a snowy day, uses his sauna and ice plunge daily, and aspires to get a dog and name it Pickles!

He is currently based in Columbus, Ohio with his wife, Brittany, and their two wonderful young sons, Levi and Pace.
