Chaos to Grace

*Remember the Peru team in prayer as they make their way home!

This week the LifePoint Church Worship team released a single that they recently wrote called Chaos to Grace. This song has been an incredible reminder of why we are praying that God uses us for the sake of His purpose to reach a lost and hurting world with the gospel.

That reason is Jesus.

We aren’t praying that God sends 100 people from our church into the nations for the sake of our name or for the sake of our glory or for our reputation… to say, “look what we’ve done.” As we cry out to the Lord, let the position of our heart be one that is fully pointed towards the One that we love – for His glory – He is deserving of worship, from every tribe and every tongue.

The depths of His grace, His mercy, His righteousness, His faithfulness, His love – those are the things that spur us on, that move us forward. He transforms us, makes us new. We “put off our old self, which belongs to our former way of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires” and we are renewed in the spirit of our minds to “put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.” (Ephesians 4:22-24) As we are transformed into the likeness of our Savior, by no work of our own – but by His grace alone, the Holy Spirit spurs us onward in obedience to Christ, as we understand our purpose IN HIM.

Sometimes as we move forward toward a goal (especially when the goal is as admirable as God’s mission in the world), it is tragically possible to be so busy working for Jesus, that we neglect Jesus, Himself.

This week, let’s pause as we pray – we encourage you to download the song and meditate on the truth within. Pray that the Lord helps us remember our first love, the love that moves Chaos to Grace… for His Name’s Sake.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.   2 Corinthians 5:17-21

You drew me up from the dirt

Stained and filthy, but called Your own

You took my identity of hurt

The tears I’ve cried

The hidden pain

You know all I’ve done

Yet claimed me as a chosen one

Hallelujah how can this be

By Your blood a wretch made clean

Chaos to grace

You have revived me

Now I will be still and know

You’re my fortress, I’m found in You

You cancelled the debt that I owed

My sin filled life

Has been made new

Even through all I’ve done

You’ve claimed me as a chosen one

I will not stop rejoicing in You God

In me Your praise lives on

I’ll never stop rejoicing in You God

In me Your praise lives on

I will not stop rejoicing in You God

In me Your praise lives on

Hallelujah how can this be

By Your blood a wretch made clean

Chaos to grace

You have revived me
