24 Hour Fixed Space for Service to Homeless Families
Our networks of congregations and volunteers meet homeless families’ immediate needs for shelter, meals, and comprehensive support services.

Family Mentoring
To prevent and alleviate homelessness, we train volunteers to help at-risk families achieve goals and maintain self-sufficiency.

Community Initiatives
We cooperate with and refer families to needed community resources, such as job training, health care services, childcare and literacy.

Voices Uniting
Volunteers work together to promote community practices and initiatives that alleviate poverty and improve the well-being of low-income families.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Delaware County

Kids facing adversity in their lives need the motivation to take on new challenges, the resilience to turn adversity into strength, and the grit to persevere. Without these character strengths as a foundation, they may not attain graduation and post-secondary career and academic success. By partnering with parents/caregivers, schools, businesses and community organizations, and, of course, volunteers from our community, Big Brothers Big Sisters Delaware County helps kids facing adversity in our community achieve success. Big Brothers Big Sisters is a great organization where you can let a child make a difference in your life while you make a difference in theirs. It does take a commitment (18 months, 2 times per month), but the payoff is huge.

There are at least 50 children on the waiting list for a Big Brother or Big Sister. Make an impact!

Foster Kids Ministry:  Delaware county has approximately 30–40 kids in the foster care system at any given time.  This group of children has an ever-changing set of needs and we as the local church can help provide for some of those need and share the love of Christ with both the children and their foster families.  Groups in the past have helped provide Christmas presents, hosted ice cream socials and collected suitcases for children that needed them.

There are many things that LifeGroups could be a part of on a short-term or long-term basis.
