Since 2010, Lifepoint has partnered with IsleGo missions on the island of Jamaica. Our ministry centers around building “little blue houses” and community centers for families in the underserved communities outside of Ocho Rios. In Jamaica, our teams may swing hammers and paint walls, but at the core of this trip we seek to connect relationally and proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ with those they work alongside of.
In 2017 there will be two trips offered. One for persons age 15 and older and another for parents who wish to travel with their child(ren) age 8 and older.

What will we do?
In Jamaica, LifePoint partners with IsleGo Missions in their long term missional efforts in the towns of Steertown, Seville Heights, and Lime Hall, JA. Our ministry typically is centered around the building of 2-4 homes for families. However, we often have the opportunity to participate in other ministries such as hosting appreciation meals for local pastors, conducting VBS or helping with the construction of a community center. All while sharing the love and truth of Jesus Christ with those around us.
Where will we stay and what will we eat?
The team will stay in local villas near the beach with air-conditioned rooms, private bath, and security. Delicious meals are prepared by local cooks.
How will we get around town?
Local bus or van, driven by professional drivers (left-hand side of the road)
What else will we do?
A sightseeing / free day is included. Potential activities are climbing Dunn’s River Falls or tubing down the White River, shopping at the markets, snorkeling on a local reef, beach soccer, swimming and relaxing.
How Can I Pray?
1. Pray for the Jamaican Christians who are working in an existing community center that seeks to meet the needs of the poor in their area.
2. The resources and manpower needed to complete the new community center so that the ministry can begin in that area.
3. For the Holy Spirit to prepare the way for our teams as we seek to connect with the needs in the community.
4. Each house that our team builds costs $2300. Pray for God to provide the resources we need to bless these underserved families with homes at no cost to them. Our teams can typically build 2-3 houses in a week if we have the money to pay for them.
