James 1:27 says this… “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.”

In Kakira, Uganda, there is a church—small, but passionate—that seeks to live out James 1:27 in their everyday lives. After years of prayer and waiting on the Lord, Lifepoint is coming alongside Vision Baptist Centre in Kakira in deeper partnership, to encourage and empower them to do transformational Kingdom work in their
community.

In October 2017, Lifepoint, Vision Baptist Centre, and Children’s HopeChest will establish the Kakira CarePoint, a designated place within the Kakira community to serve as the base of ministry to sponsored children. Lifepoint families and individuals are being asked to prayerfully consider entering into a relationship with a child in Kakira through sponsorship.

Immediately, sponsored children in Kakira will have access to:
● Gospel-centered discipleship
● Supplemental nutrition
● Basic medical care
● Comprehensive grief and trauma care.

Soon after, basic support structures will be put into place shifting a focus toward equipping vulnerable children and communities for future success and sustainability.

We hope you will prayerfully consider how you can be a part of what God is doing in Kakira, Uganda.
